worried about the tank bursting eh? do you know who manfactured the tank? if the tank and stand are constructed properly you should have no worries unless you end up with a hungry mantis shrimp in your tank

Well if i decide to keep the 180 it will be a slow build but to be honest I've got the bug bad lol was already looking for a smaller setup to run while i set up 180 and use as a frag or qt tank later on. I jumped in with both feet buying the 125 then going fresh then buying the 180 on a whim. Like i said never thought about the fact this tank could fail and a 55 gallon fail much more managble than a 180 so its weighin on my mind a bit. If i had my own house be a different matter. all I know is I wanna start with a bare tank and live rock and hand pic everything just the way I want.

To be honest may be ditching the 180 as well as 125 Got some people talking about glass tanks exploding making me nervous apbout flooding my apartment so may be going to a much smaller set up or two.

But gear i have right now,

Heres what came with 180g tank

SEALIFE Pro series pro 200 sump with what i think is a built in skimmer

two strip lights with i guess regular bulbs

a 6ft current light with 3 mh bulbs and four blue/white led panels ( this came with 125 I bought)

Emporor 45 watt UV sterilizer (huge tube thing no clue how to hook up)

small pump under skimmer in sump

mag drive 1200gph pump

Aqua tech power head 170 gph

all of this stuff is pretty much NIB, tank looks to have never been set up.
