I got the colony from sea oddities in Kingsport. IMO she under prices her sps. She had green monti cap frags about 4x4 in and she had em for $15.

What store did you end up purchasing the colony from? Sucks that happened with your tank all thanks to your brother lol! I just did a big water change and siphoned a lot of slime off my rocks and scooped out the stuff on the sand with a net. We shall see in a few days if my phosphates actually go down and i get my tank under control again.

I have trouble with some. For some reason millis hate my tank. But I'm hoping the mp10 changes that. I just bought one yesterday that didn't look to be thriving in the store do I bought the entire colony, not frag lol for $20. So I'm hoping for it to come back and thrive

I am so in on a group buy of sps!! Right now I have red slime, cyano and hair. When I set up my tank I had a 55 gallon drum full of ro/di down stairs.. FULL!! I had my brother helping me mix water and I tell him go down stairs and fill my jugs... After set up I went down stairs and it's still full. Turns out he used my tap in the laundry room rather than the pump on the drum... So my tank is full of silicates which it turns out algae loves!!! So today I bought a lawn mower blenny and a pretty hefty clean up crew!! The blenny has been in my tank 6 hours an he has already brought zoas back from the deeeeep hair algae garden which used to be my zoa garden..

Ah, what kind of algae are you battling? I'm having a bit of a red slime attack atm, at least im really hoping its red slime. Sps are my favorite too. Im just short on money right now and I've been waiting to do a group buy online with the club to get some nice sps.

Welcome to the forum! Looks like you have a nice setup going, and a nice upgrade coming in the future. Look forward to hearing what your input is after attending the ETRC meetings. They seem to be what we are after if we can get some good structure going. When you say sticks, i'm guessing your referring to SPS coral? Lol. Well anyways look forward to seeing you at the meeting. Pictures of your tank would be awesome as well!

sounds cool! do you think you can make it to the meeting sunday? we have a lot to talk about in regards to the club, and we would love for someone from the ETRC to be there to talk about ETRC and give some advice.

Right now I have a 40b that was DIY drilled, DIY overflow, DIY stand, DIY sump. I love to do things myself!! I run a atomic reef (owned and operated out of Tennessee) media reactor. However I am considering taking that out and dosing Vodka. I run a mag 7 return, mp 10 for flow, 14k 250w mh and 36" ecoxotic magenta/blue stunner for actinic. I love clown morphs, right now I have a pair of black ices I won at the etrc frag swap. A one spot foxface now calls my tank home, a six line because I had a bristle worm prob in the beginning, a yellow watchmen goby and his living terror of a mate a tiger pistol shrimp. My tank is a mixed reef, but I love me some sticks, chalices and zoas. My joeknowsreefs shock fire and roid rage will be here tomorrow morning. I have future plans and paper work being processed to become an importer from Indonesia of all types of corals. I just sold off my 125g yesterday and I have future plans for a 180g tank in the works now. I am a former US Army Combat Engineer. My wife and I just moved back home after being away for the past six years. I have a daughter who is 20 months old, and other thank my tank she is the highlight of my day. So yeah, I think that about sums me and my tank up. Oh and I almost forgot. I am a huge Volunteer fan!!
