"You can cover a circle of about 2.5-3 ft in diameter with one 100w LED+lens. The power is incredible, I actually have to turn mine down, even over a 3ft deep tank."
That was from a guy who has them already on his tank. For One LED that seems pretty good.
They probably do they look like they ate very tightly grouped did you see any demintions on them?
And I was just stating again I have played around with several different types of led and so far Cree are the best bang for my buck.
Ah. the guys in the that thread have said that those led's do great penetration. Its a 100w LED, with the right lens you would think you could do good things with them.
Cre led are generalw 3 watt each which seams to do better in draper tanks.i have played around with led and the cre led just seam to be better .i Wes just stating that cre are worth the money but go ahead and try them may work just fine.may not?
I mean this thing seems good because its one LED that can do a big radious. Instead of having to wire up 50 LED's. Like Joe said, whats the difference. Would like some elaberation on the subject.
whats wrong with them not being cree? alot about leds i dont understand ive heard of cree and luxeon being good but is that just a brand or a type of led? i mean if it puts out the wattage and color temprature you want wont it work?
anyone heard of smd leds? you can buy two 100w 20000k "smd leds" for like 70$ has anyone heard of or used any of these leds? and wonder how they would grow corals
