yea the wife is letting me keep the established tank, I just wont be able to buy much more for it. I do need to replace my lamps though I noticed the tank isn't as bright as it once was.
I did the research on bristle worms, Most seem to be harmless scavengers although there is the occasional psycho that eats your tank mates. I'm gonna leave him alone right now but if I see wounded or dead fish i'm gonna get him.
I have a 26 gallon bowfront aqueon tank, a Marineland C160 Canister Filter, a Coralife 2 bulb T5 high output lamp over the setup one bulb actenic one full spectrum, 26 pounds of live rock, used Caribean live sand as substrate and the tank has been cycling for a little over a month now. I'm giving it another month since I just put the last 14 pounds of live rock in two days ago. Yesterday I flipped on the light to show my wife my tank and low and behold I HAVE LIFE! I have what I have Identified as a Fire Bristleworm that rode in on my live rock along with 6 small green sponges. I spooked the worm when the light came on and he stuck his head in the rock to make a quick retreat.
He is about 1 to 2 inches long and orangish red and white two tone

My name is John, Ive been in the aquarium hobby for abour 3 years now and have just started a smaller saltwater tank. This is my first saltwater experience considering my other tanks had either had small inverts, cichlids, or native species. Im really enjoying all the information pertaining to saltwater fish keeping thus far, and am looking forward to finally getting some fish into my 26 gallon bow front. I'll try and get some pics up of my project soon enough.
