still loving this thing!! I just wish i could afford more modules and whatnot!! lol ive got it setup to where a fan comes on with my lights and such now. I plan on even having it control the temp in my room as soon as i can get a new PC4 module and temp probe :)
My reefkeeper lite (rkl) should be here tomorrow and i just wanted to take some time and let everyone know my thoughts on it as i learn to use it. From what ive read its a very versatile system that will allow you to control everything the usual hobbyist would need. For those who are a little more hardcore (Izzy,OldSalty) the reefkeeper elite would probably be the better choice. The great thing about digital aquatics (the makers) is that they allow you to upgrade to the elite and trade in your lite + $xxx.xx. The RKL and RKE are nice in the way that you can upgrade features as you go. The .NET module will allow you to access your tanks current condition (ph,temp, salinity, etc.) from any internet access point. If you have an iPhone or an Android OS phone , there are programs that will even allow you to access it on the go with your smartphone. Some quick features of the RKL and RKE are timers, alarms, wavemakers, control of dosing pumps, control of ATO (auto top off) just to name a few. Hopefully Mr.USPS will deliver my RKL before i have to go into work tomorrow.
