Filtration: Sump vs. Wet/Dry
(Preview)
Hello everyone! I was just wondering about filtration. I bought a wet/dry filter with my 125 gallon tank. I will be doing a FOWLR. Would i be better off using the filter i already have or building a sump out of lets say a 55 gallon tank? Advice is appreciated! Thank you!

Automatic feeding anyone??
(Preview)
Im going to give this a try soon . Im going to probably use an eheim auto feeder and build and acrylic station so that food doesnt go everywhere before it has time to sink. Ive read that fish will get used to the feeding times and WAIT at the feeder for food...that would be hilarious and amazing to see. Also i...

Herbie plumbing method for "reef ready" pre-drilled tanks
(Preview)
The basic idea is you use BOTH holes as drains and the return is plumbed over the tank. The larger hole is used as the main drain with a gate value under the tank. You use the valve to reduce the flow to the point where water stands high enuf in the overflow box to prevent ANY air from entering the standpipe...

Pump adjustment
(Preview)
So here's the deal guys. I'm setting up my 75 and have everything working pretty well. The problem is that the pump that drives the whole thing works a little too well. It drains it's section of the sump too fast, faster than the water can be replaced. How can I fix this issue? A valve in the return line that...
