In my experience, I've heard of Hydrometers being off 6 points either way.
Put a mark on the Hydro by testing it against a refractometer,
at least you'll know where the correct reading is on the Hydrometer....

in my experience the hydro i had would read higher sometimes and it would also read low sometimes but the refract is more accurate so i would go with what it says

hey I have a question on the refractometer. from my understanding that the hydrometer is suppost to read higher than the refract. i have a refractometer that i bought but it is reading a higher level then the hydrometer. I have calabrated the refract. i know the refract is suppost to be more accurate. so, is all this information currect.

thanks,
dm
