Great Intro Man,
Marine Aquariums are Passion and the more time you give to the tank (patience), the more successful it will be.

The part about throwing out all you knew about Freshwater is a really good analogy. <I've heard a lot of people say that>
What we're all doing here is a "Re Creation" of what God has already provided us with.
*The Protein Skimmer is the funny part, it makes Sea Foam!

You're onto a great start, some of us are planning orders to get critters in the near future.
Be learning what you want and "what's safe together".

Welcome to the TCRC Robert!!!

Hello to all,

I am Robert Brent, I am a firefighter/ paramedic for the city of bristol tn. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats,.... and now a beginner sal****er aquarium, lol. I have been around and worked at pet stores several years ago, matter of fact Jackie Stout and I, opened pet partners and then I also worked for airport pet emergency clinic. I served in the US Marine corp and have a college degree. I teach many different classes for the American Red Cross. I spend the summers mostly on the lake, boating anf diving.

I met Monty at pet partners ( after several years of not going in there ) with the interest with my 9 year old daughter to start a sal****er tank.  As many before I sat down and done the research of how to have a productive tank and equipment meeded. Granted we already had most of these items. So we ventured out and spent alot of money but haven't even begun, lol. I am proud to say that I threw everything I knew out the window about freshwater and started to build a memory bank on sal****er.  I have found that although sal****er take alot of time, it has been easier to set up.

Knock on wood, but it has been several days now! Tank looks nice since the beginning.  Just empty!, lol. Look forward to hearing all your all suggestions.

Robert Brent
