I too have to apologize for not being online more often. It has been quite crazy. Cort, I too am concerned about the lack of responses. Do we need to move the date? We are prepared to have the meeting this Friday I was thinking about 7pm if we still want to have it? People please chime in! We need to know what is best for everyone!

Sorry I haven't been active on this thread, been preparing for the move on the 17th.

I'm in for the meeting and hope someone has some topic to cover.
I can rattle on about something if needed.

As I said at the Elections, "I'll be spread thin for about 6 to 8 weeks while Lynda and I are moving.

I'll bring what ever I need to Munch on for the meeting.
Thanks

Hi all, first and foremost I apologize for not being on here more often.  Work has been crazy, and we just installed a brand new computer system that is kicking my butt, and making me work over time! confuse. That being said I would like to touch on our April meeting that is suppose to be coming up THIS FRIDAY the 9th! I am a little concerned about the lack of interest being shown. Are we even going to have the meeting? If so what topics do we want to discuss, I know that we have been throwing out subjects, but I am thinking maybe we should narrow our topics down to three or four? How about refreshments? Has anyone thought of what they would like to bring?  If this is not a good weekend, as it is not looking to be so, maybe we should post pone the meeting to a later weekend in April.  Just wanted to be able to plan for this weekend's meeting as I am sure all of us would like to do. Penny for everyones thoughts!

If we have alot of new reefers I think we should discuss the benefits of having a deep sand bed and portion of live rock to gallons in the aquarium. Also I think talking about diseases is a great idea because the issues can arise and its always best to diagnosis an issue before the issue becomes to big for you to save the live stock. Hospital tanks, separation of new live stock when you first purchase (even though u want to see it in your main tank), different methods of treatments for your tank and/or fish. We can also discuss algae, the good and the bad, and the causes for outbreaks in your home aquarium.

We're liking the good suggestions for Topics Guys!

As I said in the last meeting;  For the next 2 to 3 Months, I'll be spread thin moving Miss Lynda and I into our new house.
*Members, Please help by pulling the Content of the next couple of meetings.....Thanks

(1) Izzy, didn't you setup a plenum tank?
I'd really like to hear how that's doing, (thinking about doing one in the new house).
Would you consider speaking about the Substrate Subject at the next meeting?

(2) BugiSti, with all the new Tank Builds that are happening, it would be cool if you could gather info on Solar Powering a System (similar to the way you and your Dad did his Living Room).
*Would you consider sharing these ideas on a Green System at the next meeting?

(3) Maybe we can have a Volunteer to speak about Marine Ick in this next meeting (if there's time).

I'm looking forward to attending this next meeting, there's still so much to learn.

What if you talk about the differences in DSB, Plennum's, and BB, and which is better, or which is BETTER for YOU and your maintanence and budget.

Fish keeping: which fish are better for captive care, and which should never be kept.

Well monty told me to introduce the topic of energy saving and eco friendly reefkeeping- generally using solar power to power tanks! My dad has got 1 running atm and it has helped alot . I'm planning on running my tank somewhat off of solar energy somewhere down the road. Just 1 topic!

Hey everyone, hope all is well!  Just wanted to take a mintue and mention our April 2010 meeting.  It would be great if we could come up with at least three informative topics regarding fish and coral keeping.  Such as sickness like lmarchell suggested. Any other ideas for topics of interest? Penny for your thoughts!

Also, we warmly welcome any new members, or members that have not been to a club meeting in a while to join us! If you need directions or a ride feel free to let the VP, or BCSWEENEY or myself know!

Keep in mind, the sooner we have an estimated head count of who is planning on attending, the better prepared we will be concerning topics. Not to metion the better we can tailor our topics to specific questions and interest of members!

                                       PLEASE JOIN US!

I think it would be nice to talk about some of the sickness you can run into with marine fish.  I mean it would be good for the new people an for people like me that are still unsure of stuff.

Dittos BC......

We want as many people as possible to come to this next meeting,
You really don't know what you're missing until you attend one of these meetings, then you'll want to be at all of em.

Much to discuss, and,
Is there a Subject anyone wants to hear?
I'll gather info on it.

Thanks Teresa and Ronnie for Hosting in April,
Looking forward to it.
