its the section that is comb like.... acts as a weir and allows water to gradually flow thro the combs rather than just over the top.... ill try to find a pic ... its use on the refugium side....

is that what your talkin bout Monty???

around $108 4ft by 8ft.....1/4 " thick

I will be building a sump in the next few weeks for a 45 gallon tank that I will use for a frag tank.

well i was thinking of maybe using a 20 long tank..... using plexiglass to divide it... hmm....

I have always built my sumps. My current one is 35" long, 20" wide, and 20" deep. I use the term KISS, ( keep it simple stupid).... lol.....
I use 1/4 inch plexiglass that I buy from General Rubber and Plastics 2120 Industrial Blvd, Bristol Tn. ( Off of Weaver Pike).
Be glad to help anyone wanting to build sumps. I have heat tape for bending plexiglass and table saw for cutting.

i have been wanting to do a sump kinda like this for a while know but plexi glass is kinda on the costly side, but my tank seems to be doing really good without one so i havent bothered with it
