I had a Vulgaris Octo (common Atlantic Octopus) a few years ago. Kept it in a 40g long with Lexan Lids held down with large rocks. (These Guys are escape Artists)
My Boys named it "Skigmond", Skiggy for short.
A few hours after lights out, we would sneak into the room with a flashlight, we'd find him (with the light off) and turn the light on him. Patterns of color would ripple and move down Skiggy's flesh. We'd laugh, it was amazing! He loved frozen Squid and Fish.
The only time I saw him Ink was when I found him dead. Most Octos only live for about 2 years. Skiggy was probably about a year and a half old when I got him. It was the best Pet for around 6 months. I'd definitely keep one again.
**If any of you guys are really interested in keeping one in the future, let's do more Research on this subject and post the Articles and our Findings on this Forum. I'll let my friend in Florida know that we have interests in buying a few at some time in the Future.
