Yes, if you want to, we can take a look at adding the "Mesh Mod" to the Impeller.
Also, could you bring that old Lee's Skimmer?
I'm getting up around 8 am.

yeah I still have it never could get it to work a coralife super skimmer 65 works better than i can get it to work I've been reading about that turbofloater I seen a guys sps tank yesterday on one of the forums that was just amazing and he was using a turbo floater, but I read some bad reviews so I'm still going to research it some
If your sump fluctuates, adjust the Skimmer for a dry/medium skim so it can go from very dry to wet as the level changes. If it seems that your Skimmer isn't producing, do a heavy feeding and watch for the next couple of days. You still got that MRC?

what about if your sump water level fluctuates do you think it will make a difference in it? I mean a small difference is ok but others I've tried if the sump moved half an inch it would have to be readjusted its just alot of aggravation looking for something that isnt so touchy
IMO the Current model is better. Once youget it set, it seems to do fine.

the coralife 65 skimmer out performs the 125 coralife, Ive tried cleaning it including the air inlet but still nothing I'm not sure whats its problem is I think a skimmer is a must have for a sal****er tank in my opinion the only way I could see getting around a skimmer is some kind of super refugium I am still undecided about the skimmer choice though which do you think is better I want something reliable that doesnt have to be adjusted all the time
My Current IS still doing fine, the mesh mod we did worked well. The link I sent you is the same skimmer, we could do the Mod. Sometimes the Coralife Skimmers get clogged internally, a good Vinegar or Bleach soak could help. I think there are tiny air passages inside the unit. I have several different guages of guitar strings to use as a "fish tape" to clean em out. *Something more, If there's not a lot of dissolved organics in the water, the skimmer can't operate and produce tons of Skimmate like a heavily fed or neglected system. In other words, I'm guessing that your water is probably fairly clean. When I do heavy feedings with lots of raw shrimp, my skimmer draws cup fulls of gunk within a couple of hours after feeding. Let us know what you decide to do, some of our novice members are trying to glean all they can from our conversations. I'm surprised at how many folks out there that are not using Skimmers or are using old, outmoded units like Seaclones. They need our help to understand the importance of a really good P. Skimmer.

that current usa looks like a good deal is yours still working well ? that 125 coral life i had quit doing anything pump was running and the bubbles were flowing but wasnt making any skimmet i dunno what its problem was
The Turbofloater Blue looks like it could be a good unit: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4392+19685&pcatid=19685
Also, the Current USA unit I'm using has been reduced to $142.49: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4392+18442&pcatid=18442
If you decide to purchase one of these units, we can do the mesh mod to it. Good Luck
