I just found this group by a turn of good luck.  Aquatix and Exotix sent this direction yesterday which is great.  I have been looking for a local reef club for over a year but couldn't find anything closer than 5 hours.  I'm a big fan of trading over buying and not too picky about what I get, just as long as I can keep it alive.  Enough with the boring, here's what I run.

I just upgraded my system to a 40 breeder to hold sygnathids (display refugium), connected to a 75 reef, connected to a 30 cube for eels, to a 20 long holding a SRO-3000 and a section for clownfish breediing, to another 20 long to hold post larval 10 panaeid shrimp and then the return and dosing section. Next to that I have a rack of 6 10 gallons tanks for aquaculture.  These will be up and running next week.  A peristalic pump will continually dose from a mixing bucket filled 3 times a day buy aqualifters.  The cultures will be M. pusilla for rotifer growth), Pavlova gyrans for panaeid growth, phycopure for general tank use, rotifers, a prawn spawning tank, and a tank for mysis larval rearing.  The micro cultures are coming from the University of Texas culturing facility next week and I should be up and running shortly.

I run my entire system with a Reef Keeper Elite.  Last year I switched over from MH to Par 38 LED bulbs and am much happier with them.  If anyone is interested in seeing how they work I can post pictures, but needless to say they are incredible.  I enjoy making my own stands and drilling my own tanks, so if anyong is interested in doing that or learning I am more than willing to pass that knowledge on.

Currently I have green sinularia, colt, and red monti cap available for trades.  I'll try to make the next meeting in a month and bring frags for those who are interested.

Looking forward to meeting everyone,

Brent Bohannon
