Update: tip is brown not purple and opens up like a feather duster. When open, there are minute "hairs" ( I assume to be radiole) around the edge. When bothered, it closes up simular to a tube worm. That is my best guess that is is a tube worm. But the type if known would be nice to know. As soon as I can afford batteries for my camera, I'll get some pics up.

Today I discovered a small white tube with purple circle around tip growing out of a hole in a piece of my live rock. Is it a type of tube worm or a type of anemone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
