O I say every fish is a jumper. But other then my overflow there is no way to get out. I wish that was the case, I would just like to know what happened. I beleive someone eat them.
Ok you are good then. If he eats they won't mess with him i mean u have to have a freakin monster one and i mean monster to kill one that is like a rabbit coming on to you when u have a baseball bat. The worm doesn't have anything but a huge month the sixline has teeth.I never identified them though if u have a fire worms you are fine if u have the worms that are colore liek half and half but if u have a solid white ones then i would be worried they don't look liek they have bristle but they do.
Also if u are going to add a new fish becarful as the sixline has teeth and can do damage to the new fish maybe getting a breeder net while letting th new fish get aquanited. Sixliens are jekly and hyde they are very capible of taking down alot of fish they are skilled hutners of pyramid snails and flatworms. They are my favortie fish could we see some pictures of them i am going to get one when i set up my 75 or 55 or something like that.
I am not going to say i am a expert on sixlien wrasses that is one of the fish i know alot alot about as i like them alot. They have a fimly substanceas u stated for when they good to sleep and in general if u see if having a very thick slime coat. It is very healthy one without a very thick one is not very healthy. That is why mandarins and sixline wrasses don't get sick as easy has other fish.It is perfectly normal for them to get under the sand and not look like they are breathing as they will play dead. do reccomend if u have a coral banded shrimp, arrow crabs, bristleworms the bad kind to watch it has they willl kill em. The sxilien wrasse forms and mucus cacon around its whole body has it sleeps so a fish cannot find it. My mandarin was killed by one of my 2 ft long 4 inch thick worms i used to have compliments of petcove.
Nothing new has been added. Water is fine. He seems healthy. He also likes the color red. Will come to front of tank when I wear red. Strange fish. I thought they hid.

I've never seen a 6line do this. Maybe there's a Pheremone in your tank that triggers this reaction???

I saw a Mandarinfish get into a Cartet Anemone a couple of years ago. It had burn spots around his body. He started sliming, as each layer washed off the burns got smaller. After about an hour most of the burns (stings) were gone.
Could there be an irritant somewhere in your tank?
I need to step away from my Machine for a while, I'll be back around 11 pm.

I know that he has done it at least two other times. Saw film stuck to rock. First time I saw him I was up with flashlight wrapped in saran wrap at 3AM looking for bristleworms.
I'm not shure, but the process sounds cool. I'll check around and try to get an answer for this. If anyone has any ideas, please chime in.
Did the Email instructions help?
Thanks

I purchased a six-line wrasse, and on second day that I had him, he coated himself in a film and wiggled himself in the sand. I thought that he was dead. But the next morning he was out and swimming just fine. Film like material was stuck to rock. Is this normal for them? And how often do they do it?
