You'll need to Google "reef compatible fish" and get a more "Expert" opinion.
For a frag tank, clean up crews, Copperband Butterfly fish (med or large),
six line wrasse, damsels, peppermint shrimp, sm longspine black urchins.

Yes you could, but it won't give you the water volume that a sump would.

I am going to get a 30 gallon and use it it just seems better i can get a better fish if i want . What are some good creatures to have a not to have in a frag tank benefical and non . I don't want to go to pet cove and by a rock covered in zoas and have it get eaten by a fish or invert.

You start by drilling a hole near the top corner of your tank, add a bulkhead fitting so you can attach a drain pipe to it that will lead to the sump.
You fill the sump with bioballs or ugly live rock and a skimmer.
In one end of the sump, drop in a submersible pump to return the water to the tank.
You can make the retun line so it has a "C" shape at the tank top to hook it onto the top frame.
*I think that there are several guy in the Club that may have spare sumps (smaller ones). You could do a "looking for" post in the Drygoods Trading Forum and maybe find a great deal.
note: the larger the sump, the better off you will be.

There are bunches of sites to get an idea of how to construct a sump or convert a used aquarium into one.
A Rubber maid container will work, you need to hide it in the stand behind the cabinet door.

I need to get ready for work, if you want, drop by the store today and I'll do a rough drawing of what we're talking about.

To do sps (Acroporas) you really need to have Mature tank water,
around 8 months.
If you have some older water or can get a water change from someone's mature tank to help start this reef, you will be able to keep Acro's sooner.........say about 3 months.

I have a nice little Table Acropora frag that I'll donate to your Reef.

That's Cool, I'd still go with 1 white (10K) and 3 blue.
The blue bulbs are probably in the 460 nanometer range.
You will need to find a true Actinic (420n) bulb later.

I would use one white and three blue.
If you're going to use the MH fixture with it, I'd go with the 150.
If there's a chance that you will use the T5's on another tank later,
I'd get the 250 watt.

This Tank will look like the "Hand of God" is over it.....it'll look good.

*Also, using a fixture with this output, you could go ahead and do a 30 gallon tank. It would be cool if you could run this system with a sump.
There are guys in the Club that can drill your tank and I have some spare 1" Bulkheads. The Glass Co. on State St. will drill a tank for $25 a hole.

note: The dimensions they give for these fixtures are odd, you may want to go to a website with a conversion calculator to know exactly  how wide this fixture is with the T5 add on's.

J, thanks for the heads up on this site, anytime you find places to purchase Drygoods at Budget prices like this, Please share them with us here on the Forum.
Thanks again

The Light Fixture at "FishNeedIt" looks like a good deal.
Get it with the 20K bulb.

I only want to spend around 200 maube a little more if it is worth it.

The 20g long would be a better choice (IMO), the water is more shallow and the light can penetrate better.
