I am going to bring my whole test kit so if you want to test for magnesium, sillicates, phosphates, alk, or iodine/iodide then bring a water sample in a clean sterile contrainer ziplock baggies seem to be the best way to provide a sample.
I would like to also work on some ideas for a sand filter so bring your thinking caps with you.
Hey DiveDude can you bring a test kit? Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ca, Mag & Alk?

I will nominate the last sun evening 5:00 every month.I prob will have to miss a meeting or two but that will be the day I nominate . 6:30 on this sun is fine with me as long as everyone else is good with it as well monty. I am going to say water chemistry would be a good topic for this meeting but I am not the one to talk about it . Mine is all over the place , not really but not where I would like it to be.
dont forget, family is welcome at all meetings this isnt just for the reefer, most tanks are family oriented so the family is welcome, especially if the family helps in the maintenance and wonderment of the tank, meetings can help them to understand what and why we do the things we do to our systems.

guys we have got to settle on a specific date and time and stick with it, I know we all have things to do and private lives but this cant keep going like this the only way we are gonna get new members is to start being consistent and dependable and if we want to succeed then we are going to all have to make sacrifices, I feel your pain on Sunday Steven thats mine and Janets day too but then again she understands what the reef club means to me and she is sacrificing a few hours for me to be happy. I'm in a mood guys cant ya tell lmfao.
I want everyone to give me a nomination on a day every month that could be worked around to make a defined day that will always be meeting day regardless of attendance we will hold a forum vote and settle on 1 day and then go from there. This way we will all know that on this 1 specific day each month we will have to make arrangements to be at a meeting and every one around us will know its going to be there and can plan to it.
Im sorry to sound ill but its time to get this nailed down.
Sundays are the only day my Wife and I have off together.

Reefers I was not real sure that we had decided to have sept meeting at my house until this past thurs.I can not host a meeting during the week. If someone else would like to by all means please do , anything to help get things going and people coming.I can right now say that sun sept. 21 I should be able to host a meeting . I know some of you would like to have one during the week but I cant host one at that time , I will do my best to attend but will prob be late. If sun the 21 is ok for everyone then thats what I will plan on if not then try to work something up and I will do my best to attend. By the way I will say 2:00 -? for that sun .
well reefers its time for another monthly meeting. if i remember correctly we settled on having this months meeting at luckys place and we also said something about maybe trying a week day and not a weekend to see if it would accommodate more members. so Danny you take control of this months meeting and carry us into another fun filled couple of hours in the reef world.
we need a meeting topic and a project to do. if any one has any ideas let us know.
