Thanks Izzy I just built a new tank stand. So really I was just going to wait it out and in the next couple of days I will have to take everything out of the tank to move it so I will just get him out then. Craig said he would take the tang, since he has a fowlr tank set up. Happy Holidays!
Welcome to the reef club forum! If you need help catching your tang, here's what I do, and my tank is 4ft wide, 8ft long.
You need something transparent, totally clear. Not opaque, but actually clear. Place the net (which is bad to use on surgeon fish) in the tank, so he gets used to it. Keep him on one side of the tank, and run him into your clear container, he won't be able to figure out why he can't swim any further. If you container is big enough to captuer him, job over. If such device doesn't exist in your home, I made something specifically for this purpose. Let me know, and I'll come help you catch him!
Sorry to everyone that read my first post before I corrected it. Late night grammar doesnt work to well. I promise am smarter then a fifth grader. So, even better how to catch a tang, hes smart, fast, and mean. My two brains and two trumpet coral are in pain.
Hey everyone. Does anyone have room for a Yellow Tang. He likes to cut people and as of today he started picking at coral, mostly LPS which I have. He must go! Is anyone interested. Please I don't want to hurt him. JK. Happy Holidays, Zak
